50040 (2025). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Housing: Which streets in Lyttelton will be the sites for the new social homes announced on 10 December 2025, listed by street and number of homes on each?

Hon Chris Bishop: Ministry of Housing and Urban Development officials incorrectly advised my office that new social housing was planned for the suburb of Lyttleton. I am advised this was caused by a coding error, and the property should have been listed as being in Somerfield. The release has been updated accordingly. I have expressed my disappointment to officials and in response I have been assured that additional quality assurance will be undertaken in future. This response answers Written Parliamentary Questions 50041 and 50043 (2025).
