Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage: How many staff, if any, were employed in the Minister's departments, if any, on 1 July 2023 that worked on climate change adaptation, categorised by work on corporate/organisational climate adaptation or national climate change adaptation or both?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that there were no staff whose main duties were dedicated to climate change adaptation or emissions reduction work. Several ministry staff undertook reporting and policy work as part of their roles. This included policy advice on severe weather reporting relating to the impacts on heritage sites, National Adaptation Plan reporting, general advice for broader climate change adaptation and mitigation, and system performance engagement with entities on emissions.
