49976 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Sport and Recreation: How much Time off in Lieu, if any, was accrued by employees in the Minister's departments, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, as of 1 October 2024?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised the application of time in lieu is approved sparingly within the Sport NZ Group when excessive hours are worked. Approvals are made in advance, and any time in lieu is taken within an agreed timeframe. Given the very limited use of time in lieu no formal records are kept centrally, however I am advised the Sport NZ Group is in the process of implementing a new Human Resources Information System, which will centrally record time off in lieu going forward.
