49911 (2024). Hon Dr Deborah Russell to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: Has the Minister requested advice on changes to New Zealand laws on genetic modification and implications for emissions reducing technology and, if so, what is the title and date of this advice?

Hon Judith Collins: No, as these implications were already covered by previous reviews and reports (such as from the Royal Society Te Apārangi's Gene Editing Pane in 2019) developed before the Government adopted its gene technology policy.
