49879 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage: How much Time off in Lieu, if any, was accrued by employees in the Minister's departments, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, as of 1 October 2024?
Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that Crown entities and bodies have varying conditions of employment, including the application, or otherwise, of TOIL arrangements. I am advised that on 31 October 2024 employees at the Ministry for Culture and Heritage had accrued 283 hours of Time Off in Lieu (TOIL). As at 1 October 2024 Creative New Zealand employees had accrued 424 hours (56 days) of TOIL, The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa had accrued 314.2 days, and New Zealand Film Commission, Heritage New Zealand and New Zealand Symphony Orchestra employees accrued zero.
