49849 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Rural Communities: Does the Minister agree with the recommendation from the Amnesty International Report on climate displacement 'Navigating Injustice' that New Zealand should 'Ensure the effective enjoyment of economic, social and cultural rights – including the right to an adequate standard of living – for all people with irregular migration status in Aotearoa New Zealand.' and if so why and if not why not?.

Hon Mark Patterson: As the Minister of Rural Communities I am not responsible for this matter. The question relates to immigration and human rights policy, which sit with the Minister of Immigration and the Minister of Justice.
