49848 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for the Environment: What mechanisms, if any, does the Minister or their office have in place to ensure inter-agency coordination to respond to the findings of the 'Our Marine Environment 2025' report?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I meet regularly, both formally and informally, with Cabinet colleagues to discuss a range of matters relating to my Environment portfolio, particularly in areas where a matter requires cross-Government action, such as those raised by the report. I also meet regularly with officials to discuss efforts to improve the environmental research and data that underpins reporting and government policy, including the Governments proposed reforms to the Environmental Reporting Act 2015.
