49842 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence: Does the Minister agree with the recommendation from the Amnesty International Report on climate displacement 'Navigating Injustice' that New Zealand should 'Ensure the effective enjoyment of economic, social and cultural rights – including the right to an adequate standard of living – for all people with irregular migration status in Aotearoa New Zealand.' and if so why and if not why not?.

Hon Karen Chhour: It is my expectation as Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence that the Centre for Family Violence and Sexual Violence Prevention is giving effect to Te Aorerekura. Te Aorerekura recognises the right for all people in New Zealand to live their lives free from family violence and sexual violence.
