49816 (2024). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How, if at all, will beneficiaries subject to money management be able to pay for rent or other expenses that exceed 50% of their income?

Hon Louise Upston: Ministry of Social Development staff will consider clients’ circumstances and apply discretion before assigning clients to money management. My expectation is that this should include consideration of their regular expenses, and whether they can be met on money management.
