49716 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Associate Minister of Housing: Does she agree with Retirement Villages Residents Association vice president Di Sinclair that current law was grossly unfair, and in no other sector could those providing a service get away with what retirement village operators do; if so, what, if anything, will she do to address this?
Hon Tama Potaka: The review into the Retirement Villages Act 2003, including the matters you raise, is ongoing. Currently, officials are analysing over 11,000 submission and I am expecting to receive advice on next steps in the coming months.
