Hon Dr Shane Reti: I have been advised that the Ministry of Health supports Ministers to set expectations for their entities, in addition to reviewing and providing feedback on health Crown entity planning documents which set out intentions for the delivery of key functions and legislative requirements. I have also been advised that the Ministry of Health engages regularly with each of the health Crown entities to assess their quarterly performance reports, hold specific performance meetings and provide advice to Ministers regarding entity performance against expectations.
