Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that, For the 2024 financial year, Oranga Tamariki recovered $22 million from their annual review of contracted provider funding. If the last Government had taken the same approach to contracting, at least $132 million more could have gone to children, rather than letting some providers build up their bank balances.
