Hon Mark Mitchell: This project remains in the early planning stages. I do not believe it is in the public interest to provide the current cost estimates for the proposed Waikeria Prison expansion as to do so would prejudice commercial sensitivity and impact Corrections’ ability to conduct negotiations to deliver better value for taxpayers.
