49296 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: How many contractors, if any, were there in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, as of 1 July 2025?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: As Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, I have no responsibility for any government departments. With regard to agencies, Crown entities and any other bodies under the Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio, I am advised that entities had the following number of contractors: Callaghan Innovation – 23 Bioeconomy Science Institute – 229 Public Health and Forensic Science – 11 REANNZ – 6 Earth Sciences New Zealand – 18
