I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 5 – 9 August 2024: • Meeting with Youth Search and Rescue, 5 August 2024 • Ministerial Approval of Category 2 Risk Mitigation Projects under 2023 North Island Weather Events Auckland Crown Funding Agreement, 5 August 2024 • Cyclone Recovery Capability Funding Recommendations, 5 August 2024 • Supporting Recovery in Wairoa, 6 August 2024 • Responding to the Far North District Council’s categorisation approach, 6 August 2024 • Meeting with Radio Broadcasters Association, 6 August 2024 • North Island Weather Events: Progress Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, and Sediment Removal, 7 August 2024 • NEMA Fortnightly Status Report, 9 August 2024 • Estimates Examination Post-Hearing Questionnaire: Emergency Management and Recovery, 9 August 2024. In addition, I received from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet the following document: • Update on response to report on North Island Severe Weather Events, 6 August 2024. I also received an advice letter from the Severe Weather Events Recovery Review Panel: Severe Weather Emergency Recovery (Hawke’s Bay Rural Recovery Works) Amendment Order 2024 – 7 August 2024. Furthermore, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, the functional Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery and from other agencies and Ministers’ offices.
