49274 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: What is the proposed remuneration, if any, broken down by board and title, for crown appointees in the Minister's departments, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, for the 2025-26 financial year?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). The National Emergency Management Agency was a departmental agency hosted by DPMC until it transitioned to the Department of Internal Affairs effective from 25 September 2025. The remuneration for the Chair and panel members for Severe Weather Events Recovery Review Panel is pursuant to the Cabinet Fees Framework. Costs are only incurred when the Panel meets. No meetings have been held in 2025/26 to date. The remuneration and expenses for the Commissioners of Intelligence Warrants are determined by the Remuneration Authority as set out in the Intelligence and Security Act 2017. For the 2025/26 financial year, the remuneration paid to the Commissioners of Intelligence Warrants will be released in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet Annual Report for the year ended 30 June 2026 and will be available on the following website: Publications | Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC)
