Hon Brooke van Velden: Department of Internal Affairs: I am advised that the Department of Internal Affairs (the Department) employed 56 contractors as at 1 January 2025. This total includes contractors for the Ministry for Ethnic Communities. The Department collects detailed information on contractors with a total spend exceeding $10,000 for the financial year annually. This count excludes contractors whose total spend was less than $10,000 in 2024/25 financial year. Office of Film and Literature Classification: None. Lotto New Zealand: I am advised that Lotto New Zealand had 33 contractors employed as at 1 January 2025. Fire and Emergency New Zealand: I am advised that Fire and Emergency New Zealand had 66.4 FTE contractors employed as at 1 January 2025.
