Hon Penny Simmonds: Corrected reply: In accordance with the Cabinet Fees Framework and any valid exceptions, in 2025/26 Crown appointees will receive fees in line with the following daily or annual rates (excluding any reimbursements for travel, accommodation or other expenses). I am currently considering a review to the EPA fees, which is in line with the new Cabinet Fees Framework. Freshwater Commissioners - Chief Freshwater Commissioner – Judge: same as judicial daily rate ($1,970 for a Chief Judge); Non-judge if appointed: fixed daily rate of $1,200. - Commissioners – daily rate range of $850–$1,100 per panel member. Waste Advisory Board - Chair daily rate: $840 - Member $535 Fiordland Marine Guardians - Chair daily rate: $396 - Member daily rate: $308 Environmental Protection Authority Board: - Chair annual rate $53,000. The proposed new fee will be $96,700 effective 1 December 2025. - Deputy Chair annual rate $33,125. The proposed new fee will be $60,375 effective 1 December 2025. - Member annual rate $26,500. The proposed new fee will be $48,300 effective 1 December 2025.
