48990 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What meetings, if any, has the Minister or any office they are responsible for had with the U.S. Department of War by date and title?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: Since being renamed the United States Department of War on 5 September 2025, the following meetings have occurred: - On 3 October: The New Zealand Ambassador in Washington accompanied the New Zealand Secretary of Defence for a meeting with the United States Under Secretary of War for policy. - On 18 September: The New Zealand Deputy Head of Mission met with United States Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for East Asia. The New Zealand Embassy in Washington also undertakes routine working-level engagement with the United States Administration, including the Department of War.
