Hon Chris Bishop: 1,397 public EV charge points have been installed in New Zealand as at 7 October 2025. The locations of these charge points are as follows: Region Charge points Northland 66 Auckland 274 Waikato 178 Bay of Plenty 73 Gisborne 9 Hawke's Bay 17 Taranaki 30 Manawatu-Whanganui 62 Wellington 216 Nelson-Tasman 25 Marlborough 20 West Coast 9 Canterbury 326 Otago 60 Southland 32 Total 1397
