48968 (2025). Scott Willis to the Minister of Transport: How many loan agreements, if any, are currently in place in relation to the goal of 10,000 EV chargers in New Zealand by 2030?

Hon Chris Bishop: None. The EV Charging Loan Programme was announced in April 2025 and National Infrastructure Funding and Financing Limited recently completed a Request for Proposal (RFP) process seeking loan proposals. Loan agreements are expected to be in place by late 2025/early 2026.
