48952 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Local Government: Have potential Crown Facilitators to support for councils developing Water Services Delivery Plans been identified, if so, who are they?

Hon Simon Watts: Yes, eight candidates have been approved by Cabinet for possible deployment as Crown facilitator (or Crown water services specialist) for the period of 19 August 2025 to 30 September 2026. Because no candidate has been appointed as a Crown facilitator, to protect their privacy I am not releasing the candidate names to the House at this stage.
