Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, planning to open on the week beginning Monday 6 October 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and what is the proposed net change in roles?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that during the week commencing 6 October 2025, no consultations were initiated with employees regarding changes to Employment roles, Employment numbers, or any other Employment conditions. I am further advised that no associated Crown entities opened consultation in the week commencing 29 September 2025. However, the Children’s Commissioner consultations mentioned in written parliamentary question 45713 (2025) is expected to close on 10 October 2025 and involves a proposed net increase of 4 FTE.
