Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: Does NZ still support the new bottom trawl management area boundaries that were tabled by NZ to the SPRFMO scientific committee in 2023 to achieve protection of 70% of each modeled VME indicator taxa in the South Pacific, implementing the consensus-agreed measure CMM 03-2023?

Hon Shane Jones: The government is considering the implications and needs to consult with stakeholders on CMM 03-2023 and any changes to it.
