48782 (2025). Hon Marama Davidson to the Associate Minister of Immigration: Is the Minister aware of any instances where either sponsorship of a visa application, or application for a visa, has happened due to coercion in a family violence situation, and if so, how many?

Hon Chris Penk: I receive advice on individual immigration cases in line with my responsibilities as Associate Minister, and I have in the past received requests for visas where the requestor has been involved in family violence situation. However, due to privacy concerns, I do not believe it is in the public interest to release these.
