48543 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Is a young person ever left alone in a secure unit, and if so, for how long, where are staff situated, and what guidelines regulate this?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that while a young person is in secure care unit, it is requirement that there is at least one staff member present and available to monitor the young person.
