48467 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for State Owned Enterprises: Was Kordia in breach of its obligations under the contract to design and build the country’s new emergency service network when it pulled out of the contract?
Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that some of the original contract milestones were missed and this was due to several reasons, some within Kordia's control, and some outside of Kordia’s control. A pause on the original contract was in place for several months while the commercial reset was being negotiated. The change in Kordia’s role was voluntary, and not due to a contractual breach. Kordia is still working on the delivery of the Public Safety Network, but within a different operating structure.
