48397 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister for ACC: How much has ACC paid to claimants of family violence since 27 November 2023 to date, broken down by month and region?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that ACC does not collect data on incidents of family violence. ACC data is reliant on the information provided when a person seeks treatment for their injuries. ACC claim forms include a free-text field where a person can choose to provide a brief description about how their accident occurred. The level and accuracy of the detail provided in the free-text field varies significantly.
