48367 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Police: Further to WPQ 40413 what is the maximum amount of cumulative days that a single child or young person has been detained in a police jail whether consecutive or otherwise?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that the maximum cumulative days that a young person has spent in custody over the past 12 months (1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025) was 19 days. This total includes six separate custodies ranging from 41 minutes to seven days.
