Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 toward the action ‘Research explores the experiential, social, economic and cultural influences that contribute to infant feeding in New Zealand Aotearoa.’ under ‘Outcome 6: How a robust evidence base informs infant feeding policy decisions and commissioning activities’ within the National Breastfeeding Strategy for Aotearoa?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that research projects have been in progress across the sector, including Kai wai ū i te pō: Māori aspirations around breastfeeding in Te Tai Tokerau and Breastfeeding in New Zealand: breastfeeding experience, support and changes to food and drink while breastfeeding.
