Hon Rachel Brooking to the Minister for the Environment: Does she agree with Shane Jones, that “It’s either a matter that the personnel are the problem, the culture is the problem, or the law is the problem,” in referring to the Environmental Protection Authority’s management of the Government’s fast-track regime and if so, has she determined if any of these three possibilities is the problem?

Hon Penny Simmonds: Minister Jones and I may express our ambitions for Fast Track in slightly different ways, we however both share a desire for things to move quickly and efficiently. I have made my expectations of the EPA very clear in my letter of expectations to them.
