Hon Simeon Brown: Of the roles referred to in reply to WPQ 31826, the Programme Director and 2 x Senior Policy Advisors were Auckland based and funded on a fixed term basis through to 30 June 2024. These roles were not extended past that date. From 1 July 2024, MBIE provides policy support for the Auckland Portfolio within baseline, coordinated by senior Auckland-based personnel working in the Auckland Policy Office. The Senior Ministerial Advisor role was discontinued on 30 June 2024. From 1 July 2024, MBIE provides Ministerial support for the Auckland portfolio from a centralised MBIE function in Wellington. The Private Secretary role continues and is 1 FTE, with 0.5. FTE supporting my Auckland Portfolio and 0.5 FTE supporting my Energy portfolio.
