48235 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: How many recommendations from the LEK Consulting review into the National Ticketing System have been implemented and what measures are in place to prevent scope expansion, if any?

Hon Chris Bishop: The NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) had advised me that the National Ticketing Solution (NTS) programme has already implemented nine of the 22 recommendations from the Independent Review. The majority of the recommendations will be implemented by the end of November 2025. A close-out review will be completed at the end of 2025 to ensure implementation has occurred in line with the recommendations.
