48230 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Has the expected date for full national rollout of Motu Move changed since the reset of the National Ticketing System, and if so by how much?

Hon Chris Bishop: The NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) had advised me that the National Ticketing Solution (NTS) programme’s original timeframe of a national rollout by the end of 2026 was overly ambitious and will now be rolling out nationally by the end of 2027. As part of the reset of both the programme’s planned development and rollout timeframes, an Integrated Plan has been developed which is now publicly available and allows the public to track progress and understand when the NTS will be rolled out in their region.
