48227 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What assessment, if any, has been made of the potential impact of the National Ticketing System's reset on suppliers such as Cubic and whether this has contributed to additional programme slippage?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that the overall reset of the National Ticketing Solution (NTS) programme has provided certainty to the programme’s stakeholders and suppliers around timings and requirements. The NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) has been engaging with the Public Transport Authorities (PTAs) and suppliers through the programme as the review and reset process has taken place. Both the PTAs and suppliers now have increased confidence in the programme. Undertaking the reset itself has not contributed to any delays.
