48217 (2024). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: Did he discuss proposed amendments to the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act at his meeting on 21 May 2024 with the Rock Lobster Industry Council, Seafood New Zealand, and the Paua Industry Council?

Hon Shane Jones: We discussed the letter sent from Rock Lobster Industry Council, Seafood New Zealand, and the Paua Industry Council on the seafood industries ability to participate in applications by hapu or iwi for customary marine title (CMT) under Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act 2011.
