48160 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Whānau Ora: Does the Minister believe the commissioning agencies are the best models to provide the best outcome for Whānau Ora, if not, why not?

Hon Tama Potaka: My priority for the Whānau Ora portfolio is to enable its adoption as a public service model for New Zealanders with distinct needs. A key element of this is consideration of how Whānau Ora and Social Investment complement one another. I have received advice from Te Puni Kōkiri on options to align Whānau Ora with a Social Investment approach, which I am actively considering.
