Hon David Parker to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What written advice and/or reports, if any, has he received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, or any other government agency, which analyses risks to New Zealand's other economic relationships from joining AUKUS Pillar Two?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: I have received advice on the broad foreign policy considerations of joining AUKUS Pillar II, including those pertaining to key bilateral relationships. However, I have not yet received any advice which analyses risks to New Zealand's other economic relationships, nor had the previous government. I would expect advice of that nature to be prepared as the government moves through the process of exploring possible New Zealand participation in Pillar II.
