47271 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 29 July 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I received the following documents from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) between 29 July – 2 August 2024:
• Prime Minister’s Weekly – 26 July 2024, 29 July 2024
• Statement of Contingent Liabilities and Assets 30 June 2024, 30 July 2024
• Updating ECO Committee membership, 31 July 2024
• Prime Minister’s Weekly – 1 August 2024, 2 August 2024.
I also received one document on 31 July 2024 and three documents on 2 August 2024, however, it is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents.
In addition, jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I have received the following document: North Island Weather Events: Progress update on categorisation, buyout, sediment and debris infrastructure and local transport projects, 1 August 2024.
I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings.
Furthermore, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
