47228 (2024). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Local Government: Has the Department of Internal Affairs made any payments to Crown Infrastructure Partners in respect of the Government’s Local Water Done Well plan and, if so, what were the payments for?

Hon Simeon Brown: As at 30 June 2024, the Department of Internal Affairs has made payments to Crown Infrastructure Partners in respect of Local Water Done Well totaling $1.279 million. These payments were to reimburse costs incurred by Crown Infrastructure Partners to investigate structures for water services, advice on the financial separation of Watercare and Auckland Council, and economic and financial advice to the Department to support Local Water Done Well.
