46915 (2024). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: What is the total amount, if any, of individuals who arrived into New Zealand on a Work To Residence Visa during the week of 22nd July 2024?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that during the week of 22 July 2024 to 28 July 2024, a total of 9 individuals arrived in New Zealand on a Work To Residence Visa. This includes 8 work visa holders and 1 residence visa holder. The number of individuals is based on first arrival after the grant of the visa offshore. First arrivals under the skilled residence Work to Residence pathway are likely to be lower in comparison to decision numbers due to the requirement to have worked in New Zealand for 24 months and therefore most are granted visas while onshore.
