46901 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education

Written Question
Published date: 10 Oct 2025
46901 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: How many students, if any, were there at each of the Universal College of Learning (UCOL) campuses, as of 26 September 2025?
Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised that TEC does not receive data to identify the number of learners at a Tertiary Education Organisation (TEO) on a specific date. However, TEOs are required to submit their enrolment data to TEC three times a year (April, August, and December) through the Single Data Return (SDR). Each submission reflects all known enrolments for the year as at the specific extract date. I refer the member to the attached table for the number of learners reported by the Universal College of Learning (UCOL) at each campus in the August SDR between 2020 and 2025. The number of learners at each UCOL campus has been identified using the delivery site name and address reported in the SDR. These have been matched with the campus information on the UCOL website. In addition to the campuses listed on the UCOL website, UCOL provides delivery at other delivery sites, this includes corrections facilities, secondary schools, workplaces and partner organisations. This is also my response for written parliamentary questions 46902, 46903, 46904, 46905, and 46906 (2025).
