46898 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: What is the total equivalent full time staff of the Human Rights Commission when fully staffed; what is the current equivalent full time head count of the Human Rights Commission?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: When fully staffed the Human Rights Commission has 55 full time staff. The Commission currently has 52 full time staff (as at 1 October 2025) including all permanent and fixed term employees. This does not include Commissioners or the Director of Office of Human Rights Proceedings as those roles are Statutory Appointments and are not considered employees.
