46896 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Implement accessible and nationally-consistent clinical pathways for diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory conditions, stroke and gout, supporting specialist teams to integrate with primary and community care providers to create seamless pathways for whānau.’ under section 2.4 ‘Māuiuitanga taumaha | People living with chronic health conditions within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the January to March 2024 quarter, the Diabetes suite of pathways continued to be clinically and nationally aligned and maintained in partnership with the New Zealand Society of the Study of Diabetes. I am further advised work is required with our commissioning partners to consider local gaps in service, unwarranted variation, and implementation across the motu. This programme is ongoing with 3 yearly review cycle of pathways.
