46892 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Urgently progress the mental health inpatient units approved builds and ensure the construction programme meets the agreed milestones’ under section 2.5 ‘Oranga hinengaro | People living with mental distress, illness and addictions’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the January to March 2024 quarter, the issuance of a Code of Compliance for the completed work at Kowhai House occurred and over half of the Pilmuir House demolition was completed in the Hutt Valley. Remediation of the communication hub room at Manaia House in Whangārei was completed to allow the building to go back online, and the administration space on the top floor was completed. A preferred tenderer was identified for Tukapa House in Taranaki. The facilities relocated to Hillmorton in Christchurch were completed but awaited the issuance of a Certificate of Completion. Building consent was granted for the Adult Acute Inpatient Facility in Waikato.
