46873 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Develop sustainable and integrated funding arrangements for existing and new Iwi and Māori organisations and Pacific providers reaching 25 percent of eligible providers in the first year and 50 percent in year two’ under section 3.1 ‘Transition to transformation’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, work continued with all funded Māori Health providers through a number of consultation and co-design hui to progress the construct of delivery areas in the Outcomes Framework approved by the Māori Health Authority in 2022-2023. Progress was made to integrated funding models for Pacific providers. Pacific Health worked with 10% of selected Pacific providers to pilot integrated contracts. Consultation occurred with providers and Health New Zealand used their feedback to guide the design and implementation of integrated contracts.
