Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Prototype admission avoidance, early discharge and home-based care, including remote monitoring pilots; and refocus community nursing, allied health and the Needs Assessment and Service Coordination services to be part of comprehensive primary and community care teams’ under section 3.3 ‘Stronger primary and community care’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand continued to work with its regional teams to maximise the uptake of Comprehensive Primary and Community Care Teams funding.
