46864 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Review the Primary Response in Medical Emergencies model with ACC and develop integrated and responsive rural ambulance programmes to improve access to primary and community care services’ under section 3.4 ‘Rural healthcare’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, early progress was made on the rural access review, including Primary Response in Medical Emergencies (PRIME). I am further advised that during the quarter, Health New Zealand established a rural health team and recruited a lead.
