46862 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Commission a national telehealth medical and specialist liaison service, with a specific focus to support rural areas and drive equity of access across key populations’ under section 3.4 ‘Rural healthcare’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, the rural clinical telehealth service delivered by Ka Ora Telecare continued to expand across New Zealand. By 31 March, 41% of rural practices (95 of 230) had signed up for the service.
