Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Develop regional and national production plans by 1 July 2023, to drive delivery of equitable, and greater levels of planned care for the next three years’ under section 3.5 ‘Networked hospital and specialist service delivery’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, as part of our Budget 24 work and work on Health Target implementation, Health New Zealand have modelled the increase in internal delivery for planned care surgery over coming years.
